Will of Martin Morgan
Wilcox County, Alabama

In the name of God amen. I Martin Morgan of the County of Wilcox and
State of Alabama knowing the certainty of death and uncertainty of
life and wishing to make some disposition of my worldly estate do
constitute and ordain this my last will and testament hereby revoking
all other wills by me made.  

In the first place, I wish the proceeds of my present crop of cotton
apart of which is sold and the balance unsold, first applied to the
payment of my just debts and the balance if any remain, applied to the
mutual support and benefit of my wife Cynthia Morgan and my children
now being with me.  

I wish all my perishable property including stock of hogs, cows and
horses together with my household and kitchen furniture to remain with
my wife and minor children for their support and benefit, also all the
corn and fodder and farming utensils.  

I wish my wife and children to remain on the land where I now live
until the youngest child becomes of age and then I wish my land to be
equally divided among all my children.  

I hereby appoint my brother Mark Morgan my executor whom I wish to
carry into effect the forgoing will.  

Signed, sealed, and acknowledged in the presence of us this 29th March
1846.
