Gus Hale
Gus Hale, age 68, of Selma, AL died on September 25, 2006 at Vaughan Regional
Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2006
at 12:00 pm at Mt. Ararat M.B. Church with Rev. LL Ruffin officiating. Burial
will follow in Fairlawn Memory Garden with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home
directing.
Survivors include: spouse, Mary L. Hale; two sons, Edward C. Hale and Lee
Earnest Hale; two daughters, Janice H. Stanley and Barbara A. Perryman; eight
brothers; six sisters; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two
sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; nine brothers-in-law; sixteen
sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Sammie Quarles, Daryl Thomas, Gabriel Sharpe, Jacarlo Gunn, Jaquis Hale and
Toshi Hale will be serving as pallbearers.

Daisy Glover
Daisy Glover, age 78, of Selma, AL died on September 23, 2006 at her home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 1:00 pm at
Selmont Community Church with Rev. Eugene Taylor officiating. Burial will
follow at Mt. Gillard Baptist with Miller Funeral Services directing.
Survivors include: one son, Clarence Glover, Jr.; seven daughters, Sadie
Crawford, Daisy White, Rosa Wagner, Mamie Haile, Madara Peoples, Edna Peoples
and Armetta Peoples; one brother, Frank Wagner; two sisters, Sally Jackson and
Pearl McCall; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, three
great-great grandchildren, three sons-in-law, one sister-in-law and a host of
nieces and nephews.
The Selma Police Department Honor Guards will serve as pallbearers.

Mary Ann Stoutemire Olverson, age 68, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Selma,
AL, died on September 15, 2006 at her home in Ohio. Funeral services are
scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 11:00 am at Shiloh Missionary
(Selma Avenue) with Rev. Joshua Davis officiating. Burial will follow in
Pineview Memory Gardens with Miller Funeral Service, Selma, AL and Thompson
Hall & Jordan Funeral Home, Cincinnati, OH directing.
Survivors include: spouse, George Olverson, Jr.; three sons, Rodney of
Atlanta, GA, David of Cincinnati, OH, and George III of Montgo Bay, Jamaica:
one daughter, Girlie of Jacksonville, FL; five brothers, Walter (Doris)
Polnitz, James (Bernice) Polnitz, Windell Polnitz, Theo (Cheryln) Polnitz, and
Edmond Polintz all of Selma, AL; six sisters, Shirley Sheltney Nash, Barbara
Stoutemire both of Detroit, MI, Betty (Wesley) Wade of Columbus, OH, Emma
(Johnny) Welsh of Atlanta, GA, Carrie (Columbus) Baker of Columbus, OH, and
Mildred (Ron) Baker of Atlanta, GA; ten grandchildren, four great
grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and
friends.
