Am still hoping someone there in Selma, Alabama, Dallas CO can research some information on my G.G.Grandfather Jules Brady and wife Albine. They are listed in the 1850 & 1860 census and then in 1870 Albine and children are listed but Jules is not. I have information that he enlisted in the Civil War in 1861. Also have been told that Albine and one of her daughters opened a school in the Summerfield area that same year. I have a copy of an ad that ran in the Selma paper the summer of 1861. Jules Brady was a teacher of Music. If anyone can find out anything about Jules Civil War records, what division he was in or anything about the family, please contact me at jbk6397@aol.com. I know that Albine and children moved to Brevard CO, Florida in the early 1870s and Jules was never with her until her death. I have no information on the death of Jules, but have a feeling he set up another home with wife and family after the Civil War. There is a Jules Brady with wife and 5 children in St. Tammany Parish,LA in 1880. Three of the children had the same names of the children that resided with him in Alabama, but not the same since birth dates are far apart. Also he listed place of birth as France on all census reports in both states and the age is the same.
