<P>Seeking info for Edward Jones, a free African American who owned land near Summerville. He purchased the land from Archibald P. McCurdy in May/June 1867. Beleived to have at least two children, Frank and Nelson. Nelson had 5? children, one of whom was Fannie. Fannie had 5? children one of whom was Robert, who was my grandfather. The aforementioned land is still in the Jones name, probably under Burl Jones or Lucille Cobb of Ohio.
