I am searching for the family line of MARGARET WALLIS, born in Alabama in ~1929. She graduated college ~1950, then taught 2nd grade, beginning in the early 1950s. I am trying to locate other family names.
A relative MAY be the George and Ellen Wallis' of Selma in the 1920s. George was a locomotive engineer and was 52 at the time of the 1920 census. His children are: Ruth, age 21 in 1920; Anthony, age 19 in 1920 and was a telegraph operator; Plennie, age 17 in 1920 census; and Ellen, age 15 in 1920.
In the early 1930s, there's a Plennie M. Wallis in the Mobile City Directory, and I'm not positive that he is the same one as the Plennie Wallis from Selma.
In Wallis line I am searching, Margaret Wallis' father had 1 brother and 2 sisters, just as the above George Wallis family does. The parents owned a ranch and both lived to their 80s and beyond. Margaret's father was a car salesman and was killed in a car accident ~1932. Margaret was an only child. ANY info is greatly appreciated.
