[owoodson] Maness was Wilcox. Where were your Sellers?

[VickyAL] DONT have my info but they were in tuscaloosa co AL

[owoodson] There were Sellers in Wilcox also. I also have a Sellers in my - family from Pike Co.

[VickyAL] most likely from the kellerman,searles area

[VickyAL] unfortunatlly the book i had my - hosmer,humphreys,sellers,hyche,turner info has decided to play hide an seek

[VickyAL] an i havent got info on paf yet

[owoodson] I know how it is to misplace a book or folder. I find it - frustrating.

[VickyAL] well its in this house or at library cause i took it to library - after last chat

[owoodson] My Wilcox names are Rosser, Commander, Tepper-my husbands are - Woodson, Griffin, Hughs, Stallworth. Then I have Tomlins, Collins, Hickman, - Beall, Sellers, and many more.

[owoodson] I also have a Miller family connection in Tuscaloosa county.

[VickyAL] i dont know much on them really its a friend of mines family

[VickyAL] but we are connected

[VickyAL] several millers in tuscaloosa

[owoodson] I have the Rosser family back to VA. There is a booklet that was - written in the 1890s or about that by a Tuscaloosa Rosser that I ahve a copy - of.

[VickyAL] dont rember how far she has got dont think its far

[owoodson] The Miller family is that of Stephen Miller, and I am not sure - that any descendants are left there.

[owoodson] Tell her to get in touch with me. I have a good bit of - information on the Tuscaloosa family.

[owoodson] I am sure there is more I would like to know, however.

[VickyAL] no dont even think she knows any of the Rosser personally

[VickyAL] least since her grandma or great grama passed

[VickyAL] but her grandma was either a quinn or jacobs then

[owoodson] I went to one several years ago--there were a lot of people there, - but haven't been lately and as far as I know they still have it.

[owoodson] I quess, but not sure. I didn't ask yesterday when I was in the - Library.

[clifford34] I did find my Adams line in Butler County, Alabama and in - Barbour County, Alabama.

[VickyAL] im am but stallin out at same spot most do

[VickyAL] is john the the son of john

[VickyAL] but have a ton in wilcox co AL many to TX an AR from there

[clifford34] VickyAL, I have about 5 pages of information in my Family Tree - Maker

[VickyAL] i use PAF but have been lazy about gettin info in it

[clifford34] VickyAL, the futherest person that I have is A Lewis Morgan past - 1635

[owoodson] Not any that I am aware of. I haven't had time lately to be there - very often or very long at one time.

[owoodson] Right now I go in to tend to Library business and look up - something very quickly and have to be off to tend to something else.

[VickyAL] mine so far is pretty much prooved back to john b wales d abt 1800 - sc

[owoodson] Not one specifically that I remember. I am sure there are some - with Barbour included.

[VickyAL] then lots of info from book that looks promisin but got to work on - proof but from what ive seen everyone agrees on info

[clifford34] Owoodson, how can I find my Thomas R. or A. Adams in 1870 - Census?? He is in 1860 in Covington Co., Alabama and in 1880 in Butler Co., - Alabama??

[owoodson] You don't know where he was in 1870?

[clifford34] owoodson, right someone states he is in Butler Co., Alabama in - 1870 but I cannot find them??

[owoodson] Have you tried the state census or some other list?

[clifford34] woodson is the states census for 1870, I know about the 1855 & - 1866??

[VickyAL] might want to try rootswebmailing list for census also

[owoodson] Between 1860 and 1870. Tax list or voter list of state census.

[owoodson] or state census.

[clifford34] I will try to find them, I just cannot seem to locate their path - from Leon in Covington Co.,Alabama to around Oaky Streak in Butler Co., - Alabama

[owoodson] I am not sure that you will find a state census for the later - 1860s, but you could see if any tax records exist and see if he is in Butler - then.

[owoodson] Also, voter registration took place about 1868 and there should be - a list of those names too

[owoodson] There is one thing I just remembered--Inez Jones Taylor's husband - James died just a few days ago.

BJS3> Just added Arlington Methodist Community Cemetery a few minutes ago. We - have a lot but so many more to go.

[clifford34] Owoodson, his mother Euphemia Rowell is still living? I will - have to write her.

[owoodson] I was told that he was to be buried at Pine Apple next to his - mother.

[clifford34] Owoodson, are we talking about Inez Jones that is kin to our - Jones family??

[owoodson] Yes.

[owoodson] Max Jones' sister.

[clifford34] Owoodson, is Euphemia Rowell and James Arthur Taylor Sr. his - parent's??

[owoodson] I really am not sure who are his parents. I know that he was from - Pine Apple.

[clifford34] Owoodson, that is them, because I got the information from - Euphemia Rowell and Mary Ann JOnes & Ruby Griffin.

[owoodson] It sounds right and I am sure they gave it to you right. I didn't - know his mother though.

[clifford34] Owoodson, was he 72??

[owoodson] James died over in GA some where according to what I have been - told. I don't know his age.
